London is the capital city of England, a part of Great Britain. It is a location replete with ancient legends and myths so old their origins are lost in the mists of time. Legends of warrior kings, noble outlaws, and stirring deeds. In The Secret World, London is one of the three capital cities; the others being Seoul and New York. London houses the faction called the Templars, which is the least secretive of the three major factions. Templar architecture consists of large fortress such as this base concept art. According to the developer diary #1 London is also the social hub of The Secret World.

The locations of London are tied to the story so that the common folk who are oblivious to the dangers of the world avoid them. The areas where weird shops of voodoo, private clubs and mysterious contacts are depicted as neighborhoods where people disappear and strange things happen. "You wouldn't go wandering in a dark alley, you just turn away."

Inside London proper there isn't infighting with other secret societies, unless you go to the fight clubs, because of an unspoken gentlemen's agreement and the law of common folk. The Templar headquarters and some of the content is of course limited only to Templars. Other societies' members may be able to discuss with Templar specific characters but they respond differently. London also hosts a park in East Enson where the Fallen King is able to show the players a glimpse of their future. This is where all starting players go in London.
