| This device was taken from the battlesuit of a fallen alien defender. At first glance it appears to be an odd disk of hard, chitenous material with a strange network of flesh-like veins on top of the surface; however, after deeper investigation with your integrated HUD you begin to notice traces of very oddly configured (and quite inert) communications nanites. It would appear as though this is some form of signal amplification device for a teleportation relay. This piece was taken rather roughly from the now-previous owner and many of these nanobots are now missing, removing with them vital sectors of memory needed to utilize the device - If you manage to find more traces of the nanites and the right equipment, you might be able to get it working again... with some effort. This particular relay has one-fourth the nanites needed to activate the unit. |
